John and Elizabeth Early Sheehan are Certified Consulting Hypnotists by the National Guild of Hypnotists, and maintain their high level of training and certification by meeting the Guild's strict annual continuing education requirements. The National Guild of Hypnotists is the oldest and largest professional hypnotism organization in the world, and its certification is the most widely recognized credential for the professional practice of the hypnotic arts.
Dr. John Sheehan is a much sought after Certified Consulting Hypnotist. He is a graduate of the Thomas School of Hypnosis, and received his advanced training through the National Guild of Hypnotists' year-long Clinical Hypnosis Program. He meets his annual recertification requirements through a series of continuing education programs. He directs an active and growing practice at the Sheehan & Early Hypnosis Center located in Kerrville, Texas. Thirty-five years of successful experience as a behaviorist, blended with an additional academic background in communication and philosophy, provide a solid foundation for the professional practice of hypnosis. He has helped thousands of clients solve problems in their personal and professional lives. Prior to opening the Sheehan & Early Hypnosis Center in Kerrville he served for ten years as vice president of the Guild's New Hampshire Chapter.
Dr. Sheehan is also a busy volunteer. For the past ten years he has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, representing children in abuse and neglect cases heard in a variety of Courts. He is continuing that service with Hill Country CASA. The New Hampshire Supreme Court appointed him to the Complaint Screening Committee of the Lawyer Discipline System for three, three-year terms. He is a Life Member of Mensa, and served four terms on the board of directors as Development Officer. He was elected as a trustee of the Mensa Education and Research Foundation in 2009.
Elizabeth Early Sheehan has developed her hypnosis skills into a thriving professional practice. She was certified in Hypnosis in 1999 through the National Guild of Hypnotists. She earned her annual recertification through self-study and by attending and participating in conference workshops and chapter educational events for the next seven years when she opened a full-time practice with her husband, Dr. John Sheehan. She is currently taking advanced training through the National Guild of Hypnotists' year-long Clinical Hypnosis Program.
In 2005, she was certified as a Hypno-Coach blending her coaching skills with Neuro-linguistic tools to help her clients achieve more success than they ever thought possible. Using this method, clients are able to reach their goals easier, faster, and more effectively than using personal coaching alone. It is a perfect solution for clients who, over the course of a few months, want to utilize hypnosis and follow a customized plan to reach and maintain their goals.
Elizabeth is an active volunteer, currently serving on three NAPO Boards (locally, nationally and internationally), and has served on the Board of Directors of the Women's Business Center. An award-winning professional, she coaches and mentors women who are starting their own business. She has been cited by the U.S. Small Business Administration for helping to change the economy one woman-owned business at a time. She is continuing her coaching practice in Texas.
